Well Said, George Clooney.

Sunday night, January 11th, the 72nd Golden Globe Awards were held at the prestigious Beverly Hilton in Los Angeles. The big winner was the movie Boyhood for best movie, best actrice and best director. Which is truly an excellent movie and was even a more daring project.

Also one of our top 5 favorite movies of 2014 – The Grand Budapest Hotel – won a Golden Globe for best comedy.

Well.. back to Mr. George Clooney. George received the Cecil B. DeMille Award, which is the Golden Globes’ lifetime achievement award. And surely it was a pleasure to see someone like George getting this award for all the remarkable roles and characters he played before and behind the camera.
With George you never know, however this well traveled man dropped some legendary knowledge on his fellow actors in his acceptance speech.

George: “For the record: if you’re in this room, you caught the brass ring. So no losers in this room.
He also took a moment to address his wife Amal and what it’s like to finally find that piece to complete you as a person

George: “I’ve had a pretty good year myself. It’s a humbling thing when you find someone to love — even better when you’ve been waiting your whole life. And when your whole life is 53 years … Amal, whatever alchemy brought us together, I couldn’t be more proud to be your husband.”

And last but not least Clooney closed by calling our attention to something bigger than this awards show.

“We will not walk in fear. We won’t do it,” he said, referring to terrorist attack against the journalists at Charlie Hebdo and the massive march of solidarity in Paris and around the world on Sunday. “Je suis Charlie.”

We salute you, Mr. Clooney.
